Job Duties/
Responsibilities:
Analysis of financial transactions, trends, and results
Track departmental expense activity
Preparation of periodic financial reports for department management
Development of department budgets
Tracking and reporting of capital investment improvement projects
Miscellaneous financial analysis
Develop management reporting systems and processes
Communicate financial information to manufacturing operations
Daily Tasks:
Tracking financial transactions
Provide periodic status updates
Provide decision support for manufacturing department managers
Support departments in developing cost improvement ideas
Analyzing gaps to plan
Preparation of monthly financial reports
Minimum Job Knowledge:
Ability to apply accounting theory and US GAAP to accounting transactions; Basic understanding of cost accounting and variance analysis within a manufacturing environment
Minimum Job Experience and Education/Degree:
2-5 years in accounting with experience in financial or cost accounting
Required Skills Musts:
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Ability to apply accounting theory & US GAAP to accounting transaction
Basic understanding of cost accounting & variance analysis within a manufacturing environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Problem solving and decision making skills
Teamwork capabilities
Flexibility
Desired Skills Wants:
Experience with PeopleSoft Financials, Hyperion Essbase, Microsoft Office, and SAP
Experience in manufacturing environment
Ability to prepare and deliver presentations
