Summary:
Performs all functions according to established policies and procedures.
Responsible in supporting fluent distribution through collaboration, planning and leadership to increase profit margin, reduce loss and consistently exceed client expectations of service and quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Essential functions are primarily job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation made by the employer.
Dispatching and managing a TEAM of Auto Haulers balancing camaraderie and equal policy enforcement.
Route planning, reviewing, scheduling and timing.
Maintaining driver attendance and maximizing equipment utilization.
Maintaining effective daily dispatch log/check-in process.
Load coordinating, matching and management.
Strict follow up and expedited response, both inside and outside of company.
Improving driver efficiencies and performance.
Fluent communication and operation with all dispatch locations.
Work in conjunction with other key departments within the company to contribute to established goals.
Weekly revenue review on the bottom 20% of assigned drivers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Strong communication skills Extensive experience in logistics and dispatch, preferably within auto hauling distribution.
Knowledge of DOT compliance, laws, rules, regulations and safety.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and completion in preparing and entering information.
Attention to detail and possess a high level of accuracy.
Proven ability to detect concerns using analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to forecast future consequences and trends accurately.
Ability to provide positive reinforcement and possess a positive attitude.
Must be highly organized and possess the ability to prioritize.
Must possess ability to provide follow up to drivers and dispatch team.
Comfortable working in a high-stress environment and ability to stay calm under pressure.
Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with dispatch team and auto haulers.
Strong communication skills (oral, written and listening) with motivational ability.
Possess effective verbal and listening skills.
Strong leader and team player.
Work occasionally requires a high level of mental effort and strain when performing essential duties.
Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with time constraints, interruptions and stressed dispatchers and drivers.
Work may require more than 40 hours per week.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
