Technical Ladder / Innovation PL
Duties &
Responsibilities:
Have the initiative to undertake or continue a task or activity with minimal supervisor influence
Tasked with reducing supply chain inefficiency & waste through innovation
Monitor performance issues within SCD to identify value added opportunities for continuous improvement
Lead teams to participate in the innovation process
Benchmark supply chain activities against other organizations
Lead special project investigations for innovation in processes, technology and strategies
Develop, implement and track results of innovative initiatives from start to finish
Work closely with end user(s) to develop best path forward on department level projects
Lead consensus building activity between external departments and SCD team representatives
Negotiate with external department and SCD teams to ensure cost/quality/safety/delivery expectations are achieved and balanced
Ability to travel up to 1 week per month if required
Daily Tasks Performed:
Monitor and update projects on SAP
Update dept. mgt. as required based on project guidelines
Coordinate meetings with outside depts., outside contractors
Minimum Job Relevant Knowledge:
Knowledge of HMA Supply Chain processes, systems, and constraints
Proven ability to apply a DST-PDCA method for continuous improvement
Proven ability in project management
Proven ability to develop and document business strategy proposals
Proven ability to apply concept of cost and payback
Ability to arrange thoughts and ideas in a method to present clearly and concisely
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
Proven ability to deal with adverse situations and resolve conflict
Minimum Job Relevant
Experience:
4 years project / supply chain experience
Degree / Certification Required:
BA/BS or 4 years relevant experience
Required Skills:
Microsoft Excel - Create spreadsheets, pivot tables, formulas, & graphs
Microsoft PowerPoint - Create presentations including graphs, animation, etc.
Communication skills in presenting information and training other areas
Ability to evaluate situations and implement countermeasures
Ability to direct and delegate work activities
Desired Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of transportation, warehousing, inventory, and distribution operations
Leadership skills in prioritizing and scheduling work activities
Additional Work Factors:
Environment candidates will be working in: Office / Warehouse / Production Floor
Estimated amount of overtime (hrs/wk): 1 hr/day
Frequency, average duration of travel: As necessary up to 1 week / month if required
