Minimum Job Relevant Knowledge
Understand the Basic Function of Automobile Parts
Basic knowledge of Automotive Parts and related processes (reading schematics, fixture & part analysis) Understand how to develop PQCT, PFMEA, and operation standards
Understand how to read an analyze drawings
Prioritized Duties and Responsibilities
Work with suppliers on developing their "operational characteristics" and new model parts through a proactive approach
Work with other HMA departments to communicate new part status through the new model development
Understand how part quality new model impacts the vehicle and market
Prompt analysis of part problems and countermeasures through the New Model Process
Develop new model parts through a proactive approach with suppliers
Support and follow-up with various departments on new model quality development
Part inspection and analysis during supplier build events
Prepare technical reports and presentations
Travel to suppliers and audit their systems and/or countermeasures on planned visits or on short notice
Daily Tasks Performed
Event problem analysis
Review of systematic and process information from supplier
Review of supplier documentation
Review of Past Problem History
Preparation and support for technical themes and projects
Auditing
Inter-Department and outside project communications
Minimum Job Relevant Experience (length of service)
Hands-on manufacturing environment (2 years)
Degree or certification required
Bachelors degree of science in industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or relevant work experience in quality
Required Skills (Musts)
Procedure/Technical writing background
Background in developing and communicating to suppliers
Advanced knowledge of blueprints, new model development and CATIA
Advanced knowledge of automotive parts and how they interact with the complete body
Subject matter expert in Wiring Harness/Seats/Lighting/Audio
Desired Skills and Abilities (Wants)
Problem Solving
Presentation/Communication skills
Computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) - 2-year minimum
Ability to write clear, concise technical reports
Basic understanding in the use of blueprints
Knowledge and the use of Quality Assurance tools and techniques
Basic knowledge in the use of drawing review software
Internal Auditing
Environment Associate will work in: Office, Suppliers
Estimates Weekly Overtime: 5-10 hours/week
Frequency and Duration of Travel: 1-3 trips/month

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
