Position Description:
Equipment Service Associate
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform equipment service responsibilities for the Paint Department
Ensure equipment start / stop operations
Daily equipment checks
Recover start up / stop operations
Perform regular and emergency maintenance for ASH units, ovens, booths, conveyors, boilers, robots, plumbing systems, water treatment equipment, power plants, etc.
Ensure equipment reliability
Respond quickly and professionally to all production downtime issues
Daily Tasks Performed:
Provide maintenance expertise on Paint equipment problems by performing routine maintenance and developing both short and long term countermeasures on all Paint lines
Strive to reduce downtime by working efficiently and performing countermeasures aimed at root cause
Perform project work as required
Provide clear and concise reports on maintenance activity (Maximo)
Help manage and maintain spare parts inventory
Support preventative maintenance program on all Paint lines
Minimum Job Relevant Knowledge:
Experience in maintaining, repairing, and servicing manufacturing equipment such as conveyors, air houses, heating and ventilating equipment, basic robotic (ABB or Fanuc) and PLC (Allen Bradley)
Minimum Job Relevant Experience:
3 to 5 years of relevant experience or graduated from appropriate trade school
Minimum of 1 year in a production maintenance environment, preferably in the automotive industry
Degree / Certification Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Required Skills:
Must wear all required PPE
Must have mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills
Willingness to learn
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Desired Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of PLC (Allen Bradley) programming
Can read blue prints and ladder logic
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs
Ability to teach others
Additional Work Factors:
Environment candidates will be working in: Plant and paint booth
Estimated amount of overtime (hrs/wk): 5 to 10 hrs
Frequency, average duration of travel: 2 weeks, 2 to 3 times per year



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
