Technical Ladder/Vehicle Quality Production Team Management
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing an area with between 40-60 process associates, which includes accountability for area SQDCME.
Set goals and targets from yearly department business plans and communicate to team all targets. When gaps are identified, create and implement countermeasure plans to team to meet targets.
Set daily plans with team to inspect, feedback, and contain defects related to GDP, functional, and compliance concerns. Be able to take appropriate action for outflow items, including AH and comply with all FIC documentation procedure.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills, good planning/organizational skills, and understanding of manufacturing line/processes.
Conduct daily communication meetings on department and plant direction to area associates.
Assess associate skill levels to develop training plans as necessary/required.
Time entry and PTO scheduling
Daily Tasks:
Ensure associates are following all safety rules.
Feedback top outflow issues daily to other departments, focusing on GDP improvement.
Report VQ daily RPU & GDP defects and containment activity.
Coordinate top quality issues to responsible department.
Achieve daily production targets processing units through VQ and shipment to AHM.
Ensure associates are fully trained and assigned to processes approved.
Time entry and PTO scheduling
Minimum Job Knowledge:
Leadership skills/ lead meetings
Identify top outflow, coordinate activities within VQ and outside department, and understand VQ functions.
Understanding of ranking system (sweep containment).
Minimum Job Experience and Education/Degree:
One year experience in a management leadership position in a production department.
High school diploma or equivalent
Required Skills "Musts":
Communicate effectively, written and verbally.
Fundamental knowledge of vehicle systems (Quality standards).
Use GALC system to identify top problems for daily production.
Ability to multi-task, lead, and work in team environment.
Experience with quality inspection of finished products.
Understand logic of PDCA
Must have strong computer skills
Excellent time management skills
Desired Skills "Wants":
Experience in balancing quality and delivery.
Experience managing during abnormal situations (NM Startup, Big Downtime & Outflow, High Inventory).
Understand department and plant GDP targets.
Good communication skills.
Environment candidate will be working in:

Estimates amount of overtime:
5-10 hours/week

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
